China boasts the largest number offoundry enterprises in the world, with the total in excess of 26,000 companies. China’s annual casting output contributes up 30% of the world total and plays a very important role in the casting chain as the biggest casting production country.

The 3rd FSC 2008 was held in Qingdao Grand Regency Hotel (five stars) from Sep16^th to17^th, 2008 and attracted over 270 attendees including over 70 buyers from Canada, America, Germany, Britain, France, Spain, Czech, Australia, Korea, such as ABB, AFE, CME, GIW, IDEX, Man Turbo, TOS, Kurdziel, Endula, Kerea U-jIn, S.A. Armstrong, Bucyrus, Franklin, Danieli, Qier Machine Tool, Jinchuan Machine Tool, etc. The representatives from Canada S.A. Armstrong, France AFE, WPT, Danieli, Bucyrus Asia purchasing centre, etc. made purchase presentations on their sourcing requirements, preferred casting materials, preferred manufacturing techniques, and delivery times. 90% of the suppliers have one or more quality certifications, some of them exhibited different kinds of castings and many purchasers visited the factories of suppliers after the conference.
